Laguna Seca will host Round Nine of the 2014 Superbike World Championship after a title sponsor was finally confirmed.

The race was penciled in for July 13 on the original WSBK calendar, but it was subject to signing a contract. That final hurdle has now been cleared though with GEICO Motorcycle coming on board as sponsor.

The California venue will once again be the only American round of the championship having replaced Miller Motorsports Park last season.

“GEICO is a natural partner for this incredible motorcycle race weekend that provides access to an influential and extremely loyal enthusiast base,” said Gill Campbell, CEO and General Manager of Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca. “As part of the sponsorship program, GEICO will activate onsite and be part of a vigorous website and social media initiative program.
