SILVERSTONE PRESENTS MOTOGP BRITISH RIDERS AT HOME GRAND PRIX

Not fewer than five British riders will line up for 2014 MotoGP™ Hertz British Grand Prix at Silverstone this Weekend.

This riders will be Ducati’s Cal Crutchlow, Tech3 Yamaha’s Bradley Smith, Scott Redding (Gresini Honda), Michael Laverty (Paul Bird) and Aspar Drive’s Leon Camier.

In 1996 – the last time as many riders contested their home British Grand Prix was in 1996 and the were James Haydon, Chris Walker, Eugene McManus, Jeremy McWilliams and Terry Rymer.

Only the late, great Barry Sheene has ever had a home Pole position at Silverstone and that was in the 500cc Grand Prix of 1977, should we see this repeated this weekend.

Opening free practice for the 2014 Hertz British Grand Prix will start at 9:55am local time (GMT +1) on Friday, with Sunday’s race starting at 1pm local time.
