The San Marino MOTOGP Friday Practice saw Valentino Rossi sit +0.598s in 5th behind his team mate and championship rival Jorge Lorenzo who set 1’32.871 in FP2 the fastest ever time on a Motorcycle in the 4.2Km track that features a new layoutMarc Marquez slipped .053s to second despite leading the Morning practice session while his team mate Dani Pedrosa completed the top three .387s from Lorenzo’s M1 with the all new Winglets

Andrea Dovizioso came charging in in 4th ahead of Italian Compatriot and Championship leader Valentino Rossi who decided to run the hard front and rear tyres Pol Espargaro aboard the Minster Tech3 Yamaha lead the Satellite contest in 6th ahead of last race first runner up Danilo Petrucci and his Octo Pramac Ducati bike in 7th while Bradley Smith tailed the Italian in 8th

Ducati Wildcard Michele Pirro was unable to hang on to the pace that saw finish 3rd in FP1 to finish 9th with Cal Crutchlow completing the top 10 despite his later crash
