The Motul Grand Prix of Japan earned Dani Pedrosa his 50th MotoGP Career Win at Twin Ring MotegiThis was the Repsol Honda’s first win in over a year since he won last at the MotoGP Czeck Grand Prix at Brno in 2014
With 12 Laps remaining, Dani Pedrosa began to hunt down both Valentino Rossi in 2nd and Jorge Lorenzo who was leading and eventually blasted past both Movistar Yamaha riders to win the Japanese Grand Prix on Honda’s Home Grand Prix.
Championship leader, Valentino Rossi made a move on his team mate Jorge Lorenzo with six laps to go to snatch the second spot and further extend his championship lead by four points. 18 points now between him and Lorenzo who ended the Race in 3rd despite an early display of great pace Marc Marquez finnished 4th ahead of Ducati’s Andre Dovizioso in 5th. Andrea Iannone retired early in the race due to his Demosedici developing a fault that he couldn’t push through further
