The second MotoGP IRTA Tests commenced yesterday at Philip Island as the changeable Melbourne weather that goes on all year round welcomed riders. The clouds brought the rain and the rain would later usher in the sun. 

Marquez only lead the pack with just 11 riders out on the wet before The Hero of Silverstone Danilo Petrucci handed a 1’31.764 the fastest time to top the First Day of Tests with Ecstar Suzuki’s Maverick Vinales 2nd and Bradley Smith aboard the Satellite M1 in 3rd 

The second Octo Pramac Yaknich rider, Redding 4th, Cal Cruthlow 5th ahead of the just turned 37th year old Valentino Rossi in 6th 

Pol Espargaro ride the Tech3 M1 to a best place place of 7th with the Aspar Ducati of Yonny Hernandez 8th ahead of returning Home Hero, Jack Miller who’d place 9th with Andrea Iannone completing the top 10 aboard the Desmosedici GP16 
Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez watched the satellite Honda of Rookie Esteve ‘Tito’ Rabat in 11th from 12th while Factory Suzuki man Aleix Espargaro sat in 13th ahead of Irishman on the Honda Eugene Laverty who was 14th fastest with Suzuki test rider Takuya Tsuda rounding up the top 15th spot. Defending Champion Jorge Lorenzo was busy making head count in 16th position ahead of his arc rival Dani Pedrosa in 17th and the second Factory Desmosedici of Andrea Dovizioso in 18th the last times rider for the day The second Sessions starts 09:45AM Local Time on 18th of February. Hope the sun shines on the ocean for a dry track conditions for riders to get a full feel of Tests.
